So, the surgery went absolutely well. No complications at all. I was able to pick up Amy around 4 pm in the afternoon and she greeted me right away with her wagging tail and her funny excitement noises! 🙂
After we got home she whined maybe for 2 to 3 hours. I gotta admit, I felt a little bad then. But a friend told me that this whining comes from the anesthesia and I wouldn’t have to worry. She probably just felt a little dizzy and nauseous and I bet she was a little confused about what happened. Anyway, after that she was her old herself.
Since then the hardest job is to keep her calm. If it wasn’t for me, she would be running around like crazy as if nothing happened. It seems like she doesn’t know that she actually has a big hole in her belly now! 🙂 Well, that’s fine with me! I’m just happy that she doesn’t feel bad!
Next Monday we can go back to the Vet to get the sutures removed. And then it’s all over already. It wasn’t as half as bad as I thought. I was really scared. But she is just the toughest girl – my little one! 🙂
After the surgery… thought a big bone would help a little bit 😉
And I guess she agreed!
The next day… little “Mausi” resting on the couch!
